Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Not at all what I expected. What a frustrating and anger filled book. I hated the story and yet could not put it down. What a strange combination. I think it's written to make you angry with it, but intrigued at the same time.
Spoiler Amy is so obsessed with winning instead of being happy or living her life. I know she's upset about being cheated on but by setting up her husband she's essentially murdering him. So how is he the only bad guy. She's a psycho. I know it's said in the book but she really really is. So delusional it's almost hard to read. And Nick I hated him too! Ugh he was pathetic and seemed to have no personality. If he had been smarter with the police I think he would have got her, but he can't get it together. The story was so smart and manipulative. I just don't like stories where I can't stand the characters. I wanted some justice for someone at the end! Like all the people being played with. I have such mixed feelings still.
