Let’s start off with the cover of this punky read. The cover is beautiful but it does not match the story inside. This story is teen steampunk and it is really good. A great introduction to the genre of story, but the cover gives the illusion of a more romantic title, with a historical feel. But get over the cover and go to the innards. As previously mentioned, it’s not the best steampunk novel ever, but it’s worth the read if you like science fiction in a historical setting. Finley knows there is something in her and its dangerous. Griffin King is a motorcycle riding special detective with his own misfit team of agents. Their current case has them on the hunt for The Mechanist. Add some funky costumes and blood thirsty automations and you have a pleasurable novel with a sequel being patiently waited on.
