I really wanted to like this a lot more but I could not stand Sam at all. He just ruined the whole story for me and I just felt my skimmed through most of his perspective. If he wasn't such a jerk most of the time I probably would have liked him more.

I did love the tradition that Tom had for Cassie of doing a treasure hunt for each Christmas. That was such a great sibling love thing to do!

Honestly the only redeeming part of it was how much Tom loved Cassie and wanted to give her the missing childhood that she missed out on with her parents having been killed and her aunt being there for them but not really in their lives.
