Loveable characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

On one hand, I’m disappointed that it didn’t live up to my own hype for it but on the other hand I love Andrew & Jamie so much that I’m just glad it had a HEA! I think my main issue with this sequel is that it was 90% pain and suffering and then the ending wrapped up so quickly that even though it was a happy ending, it left me feeling a little unsatisfied. There was a lot throughout that I think could’ve been left out or condensed to be able to make the ending worth all of the pain and hardships they went through but instead it was like the story dragged out and then just ended.. like honestly I think Erik was like “how much can I hurt these characters?” And then doubled that number 😅

But even with all of that, I still love Andrew & Jamie and I loved the found family they were able to find along the way! I loved that we got resolutions for things that were left open ended in the first book and I loved getting to be back with them, even if most of it hurt.

Also I just want to say (for like the thousandth time) that I do not understand why anyone would want to survive an apocalypse and every time I read or watch a post apocalyptic story, all I can think is why does anyone want to fight this hard just to stay alive? 😅 like if this ever happened, please take me out in the beginning lol
