I've decided to read a few classics this year even though they are severely out of my comfort zone. I really did not expect to like this as much as I do. I can certainly understand why this is called the Great American novel. Fitzgerald manages to convey such emotion with his writing. All I can say is poor Jay. He was certainly not what I was expecting.
