This was a very thoughtful collection of poetry that spans many themes including infidelity, racism against the black community, police brutality against the black community, abusive relationships, etc. The poems felt like they flowed for the most part. A few of them are more free verse and a select few read more like prose. I think there is a poem in this collection for everyone. This is my first work from these authors and I am looking forward to reading more in the future.
