Maybe this book is meant to shown kids how not to act because everything, characters and story, felt very very shallow. I'm okay with shallow, self-centered main characters when their narratives are interesting, but Chloe felt too run-of-the-mill. Not a good start for volume one, but I'm interested in reading the others.

On the other hand, the artwork is very cute and colorful!
