I was expecting a cheesy easy summer read about ambition, choices and a year in Oxford but it ended up being so much more than that. A story well worth reading, for the aesthetics of living in Oxford from an American's perspective alone, and something I finished in about 8 hours. Fantastic premise, full of all of my favourite tropes and fantastically executed. Cannot recommned this highly enough.
