I just really really love pirate stories. A combination of Pirates of The Caribbean and Bridgerton immediately piqued my interest and I fell in love with this story. Gaspar and Joséfa made a lovely couple and I loved their character arcs as the story progressed. I also loved that this was more plot driven and full of political intrigue rather than spice.
