The Unhoneymooners
by Christina Lauren
I listened to this one on Audible.
It was cute but...
I can't quite put my finger on what I didn't like about this one. Honestly I think it was main character Olive. She just wasn't likable to me and came across as needy and self-absorbed. Sister Amy's I'll spoken words during an argument about Olive blaming everything on bad luck when it was really her own choices that lead her into shitty situation was exactly how I felt. Olive constantly blaming others and saying "I did nothing wrong" was obnoxious.
Ethan is the character that saves the story for me. He is quirky and sweet. Olives issues with getting a job were unnecessary to the story in my opinion and really why were the Hamiltons at the restaurant in the 3rd act, what did that add
I heard such good things about this audiobook and I wanted to love it but it fell short of Rom and of Com for me.
