Irreversible
by Chelley St Clair, Jennifer Hartmann
Jennifer Hartmann's books rarely leave me unarmed, but when she combines her talent with Chelley St. Clair’s, we reach another level. This book walks a fine line between psychological thriller and romance. It grabs you from the 1st chapter and even once the last page reached, you are not even completely free of it.
I loved everything in this story: from rhythm that left me breathless to the immersion in the character’s psyche; from their deep, raw discussions to the action scenes, and every plot and twist in between. Everything is so well written and forms a perfectly closed circle.
I have rarely seen characters so well defined and so coherent in their personalities, so of course, I was very attached to Everly and Issac.
The spicy scenes are incredible and the evolution of the characters left me so satisfied. I also loved this conclusion and the promise of other books in this universe in the acknowledgments (I guess a book about Tanner and another about Allison maybe?).
A favorite!
