The Call of the Rift: Veil
by Jae Waller
The publisher was so generous and gave me a finished copy because I enjoyed book 1
I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF MORE PEOPLE WOULD READ THIS SO I COULD HAVE PEOPLE TO TALK TO!
I definitely want to read this again in 2020 but right after reading [b:The Call of the Rift: Flight|36393290|The Call of the Rift Flight|Jae Waller|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1526074265l/36393290._SY75_.jpg|58085229] because so much of it comes back into play either in plot or character conflicts or character growth. It's unrealistic which is why something like [b:Graceling|3236307|Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)|Kristin Cashore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1331548394l/3236307._SY75_.jpg|3270810][b:Graceling|3236307|Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)|Kristin Cashore|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1331548394l/3236307._SY75_.jpg|3270810] is so freaking iconic. I really loved that so much of this book mirrors colonization in North America from the flux in weapons to even alcohol's influence. definitely going to keep reading the series.
