I don't know why but I was so excited about this book. Although some early reviews got me a little worried about it being too slow paced.
Although I agree it was slow the first half I don't know if I would say it was always a bad thing. I enjoyed learning about parts of the world. But at the same time it did stay slow until maybe the last 150 pages for me. However I did stay interested the whole time. I didn't struggled to want to pick it back up the next day.

I'm intrigued to where the story goes in the next book.
