I really hate the difference the two stars vs three stars makes in looks, but I guess there's a difference between actually liking a book, and thinking it's okay (I have my problems with the Goodreads rating system, but that's for another day). This one was okay.

It was actually a pretty decent mystery, if not much of a thriller, and I liked some aspects of it. But I got really tired of reading Kate go on and on about her feelings every chapter or so; that veered sharply into telling not showing territory after a while. And the plot twists...this could have been wrapped just as nicely without the shock and awe, which weren't very shocking or awe inducing.
