Until You by Briar Prescott
5.0

I seriously could not put this book down, I read it all in one evening and it was so, so good. It's single POV, which is unusual for romances these days, but it really works in this story. It adds to the mysteriousness of it all, because you know something is going on even though you don't exactly what it is. I had to keep reading to see what would happen, and I loved every second of it.

I absolutely adored Jude. His type of humor is my favorite so it was really no hardship reading just his POV. He goes on such a journey from being kinda an asshole loner to realizing that's not the life he wants to live once he gets a taste of not being so alone. He and Blake really are that meant-to-be couple. They fit together so well and I loved all of their interactions. The way Jude slowly opened up and became vulnerable the more he trusted Blake was so sweet. And it made all the conflict that much harder. My favorite thing in books is when they show the characters doing some mundane things that creates that intimacy and closeness. That felt really important here for Jude, and I loved being able to see him slowly fall in love with Blake through all the little things.

There's a good amount of family drama that draws you in. I thought it was done really well and I loved that part of the plot. This book also has some A+ banter. I really enjoyed the side characters too, but Jude and Blake's flirting was just so good and funny. I just love them as a couple. I was worried the conflict wasn't going to be resolved enough at the end, but I really liked how it was handled. Choosing to hold a grudge or being brave enough to open yourself up to that special kind of love you won't find again? It gets me every time. Highly recommend, and am curious to read more by this author.
