What started as a bit of a slow burn had me at the edge of my seat the further the story went. I expected a different sort of monster, those from myths, but instead got time stealing time travellers with a dash of petty magical powers thrown in. This didn’t stand in the way of the enjoyment of the story however. Once a monster always a monster I suppose, like the story the ending too was a surprise. And yet it was fitting and a tad dark as all things seemed in the monster underworld.
