The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
4.0

Actual rating is ★★★★.5

I had no idea that the “enemies to lovers” trope would be something I was into, but I absolutely am oh my god this was adorable and hilarious and everything that I hoped it would be! I listened to the audiobook, which I started and finished in one sitting (my butt hurts from sitting for so long lmfao)

So what's going on here?
The Unhoneymooners follows Olive and Ethan as they take a romantic honeymoon in Hawaii. The catch, Olive and Ethan aren't the ones who got married, but no one can know that because her new boss is there, as is his ex with her new bae. Also, they hate each other. After an unfortunate accident involving a buffet at the wedding of Olive and Ethan's siblings, the two are given the opportunity to take the honeymoon in their place, since no one wants to see it go to waste. Olive and Ethan plan on avoiding each other at all costs, but of course things never work out as planned and they are forced to act romantic towards each other. But what happens when the act starts to feel a little too real?

What I loved
As mentioned above, I absolutely adore the enemies to lovers trope apparently. I did not see that coming but here we are! I loved everything about their romance, these two are just way too cute together.

Romance aside, I really loved the turn this took, how there was more to it than just a romance. I really didn’t anticipate the other plot point (maybe it was in the description, I have idea because I didn’t actually read it LOL, I picked this up solely based on hype and it being by Christina Lauren).

I think my favourite thing about this was the family dynamic. Olive and Amy’s relationship was wonderful; even when they were fighting you could still tell how much they love each other. But also the rest of their insanely large family was just so wholesome. I’d love to have such a huge family be so unconditionally loving and supportive
