I love a good friends to lovers romance, and this did not disappoint. This is an INCREDIBLY slow burn (they don't kiss until like 75% and don't truly "get together" until 90%) but it's so worth it. Ian and Harlow have been best friends since they were kids, but they lose touch for roughly a decade and then Harlow moves back to their small town with her daughter, Sage. This is written so well and you can just feel the tension and the delicious will they, won't they of it. I loved how the author wrote the inner struggles of both Ian and Harlow and their desire to be so close to each other but not ruin their friendship, all while increasingly falling in love with each other with each and every interaction. Sage was such an awesome kid, and Ian was so good with her. This was just SO GOOD! I'm really looking forward to Poppy's book as well.
