This was a fun, entertaining return to the land of Roar. The magic of the first trilogy was present and accounted for and there were some great action scenes I would really love to see turned into animation. 

I do feel that it was rather unrealistic that neither Arthur nor Rose would realise at the beginning of the book that the things they made up about Roar could come true - after all, it's not the first time! The new school setting didn't feel very original, but I did enjoy seeing Rose occasionally realising that things she had imagined as awesome weren't quite so great in reality (I actually wish this had been a bigger part of the book). 

The cover of the book goes well with the first three, but I do really miss the French flaps which I loved and gave a chance to fully show off the illustrations. It's a shame book four doesn't match.
