Ring Shout was amazing. I got it from my local library and also listened via audio book. Amazing narrator. This book shows the struggle of race relations and also how whites people attempt to manipulate black people for their own agenda. The monsters origination was so original and gruesome. I loved the African foIklore/myths. even looked up that damn movie Birth of a Nation (pissed me off), but did not watch it. I have been to Stone Mountain too. That place and all the replicas of slave housing and such, pissed me off too. It is intriguing to think and read about history, but to see it is eye opening.
