The Flatshare
by Beth O'Leary
Book TW: narcissistic/ emotionally abusive ex, wrongful imprisonment
Spice: There's some descriptive lead-up, but then it's fade to black.
I'd really like to give this like a 3.5 star. It took me a while to really get into this book. I was honestly confused about what was all going on and what was up with Leon's way of speaking in short/choppy sentences. Once I acclimated to the style of the book, I did truly start to enjoy the read and feel invested in the characters. There's a lot of important discussion topics within the walls of this book, and it felt done in a truly wonderful way that didn't feel gross and preachy.
