A wonderfully dark novella that introduces a quirky cast of young people who all found a doorway to different realms, but for various reasons were sent back. Some desperate to go back, some desperate for their families to understand that they weren't lost, but found, they find themselves at a boarding school ran by one of their fellow travelers.

When new student Nancy arrives after being cast out of the underworld, a spate of murders rocks the school.

While the actual mystery element is fairly light (being only 150+ pages), the characters and settings are simply marvelous. A great little read. Hopefully more to come!
