I am so happy that Nnedi Okorafor exists. Her depictions of characters and the way she writes African-centric science fiction is truly a gift. She really bought the character Sankofa to life. Sankofa had such a tragic life and even when she finds peace of happiness, things seem to threaten this. I love how the story is wrapped around her identity and loss. There were so many quotable things about this book. I felt for Sankofa because she was pushed into something and couldn't remember her name or couldn't control her "gift."
I thought to myself "what would it be to not have a digital footprint?" while reading.
