The Gown: A Novel of the Royal Wedding
by Jennifer Robson
2.5 Stars. TW for rape, trauma, ptsd
Why does this book have such high reviews? It’s saccharine, predictable, and preachy. I wasn’t expecting great literature but this is so dull. I don’t read WWII fiction because I find it voyeuristic. This wasn’t too bad in that regard. there is an element of misery p*rn with Miriam’s story.
