burntotears 's review for:
The Book Thief
by Markus Zusak
It took me a while to get used to the strange arrangement of The Book Thief. The fact that you learn things that will happen in the story long before 'they actually happen'. It was disorienting at first, but I think after you push through the first few chapters and get used to the narrator of the book itself and the odd time jumps, it becomes all about the words. It's written beautifully, there's no other way to describe it. The words just flow perfectly and I'm happy to say I'll be reading this one again so I can re-digest it's splendor.
Also I highly suggest the audiobook as it was performed beautifully as well.
