A little slow at the beginning but develops into a fun, mad, amusing read. Glad I can finally watch the movie now. Liked it enough to continue with the series. The tidbits of cultural and language information given in the footnotes were a welcome element of added interest, and it's very clear the author is familiar with the world portrayed in the book, which is a real strength.
