I really enjoyed this book. A fantastic combination of slow burn romance and passionate love. The quotes are nothing short of charming.
He took her face in his hands. “My heart calls your name.” - George
It was interesting reading the thoughts from the POV of George in particular in depicting his “madness”.
For the majority this book felt very try much like an identical copy of the Netflix series and plot that from show with no new creative scenes or subplots. I was a bit gutted it chose to exclude the Violet Bridgerton storyline and Agatha other romance too. Felt like a missed opportunity as I had hoped this would flesh out the series more.
I have read plenty of books which I have enjoyed more than their Tv series counterparts from the depth they bring. Sadly on this occasion I don’t feel it added anything special but still a beautiful romance in its own right.
Overall a beautifully written romance though didn’t add anything overly special from the Netflix series.
