Husband Material

*Thank you to edelweiss for a copy in exchange for an honest review*
Husband Material is on my list of most anticipated 2022 releases, and Alexis Hall can never disappoint. This book has everything Boyfriend Material had, in terms of friendships, relationship discussions, banter, and more. And I loved every second of it.
Luc and Oliver, once again, felt like a real couple. Not a couple that is in a book that wouldn’t survive in the real world. They felt like a couple I see in real life. I love how dynamic they are, and how they still argue. They show that relationships aren’t always perfect.
I also think that this being a gay relationship, two men, shows that even queer relationships aren’t perfect. Lots of cis and straight people think queer couples are always perfect and never have bumps in the road. That’s not true. And Luc and Oliver show exactly that.
Husband Material is easily one of my favourite books, and Alexis Hall will forever be a favourite author.
