Again DNF at about 200 pages. I raced through the first 75-80 pages and then the slog began once again. I guess I just don’t like this book very much haha

DNF around halfway...

I listened to the first half of this tome on audiobook, and then I picked up the physical copy and proceeded for a few chapters. While I love Gaiman's writing and the story is interesting, I feel like I'm stumbling over the sheer number of words in this book, especially the number of words that feel like filler. I'm talking about the way Shadow's every action is carefully documented. It reminded me of Stieg Larsson in the sense that it was somewhat satisfactorily numbing filler, comforting when you're in the right mood and drearily monotonous when you're not. Right now, I'm not, so I'm going to put this one down for a while. I will come back to it!
