Coraline (Graphic Novel) by Neil Gaiman
4.0

Wonderfully creepy adaptation of the original story!

Coraline is bored by the adults in her life. She seeks their attention but they're all too busy, shooing her away and mispronouncing her name. One day she finds a door to another world, a place where her Other Mother lives. Other Mother wants nothing more than to dote on Coraline and love her always and for ever. Sounds perfect, right? Wrong. Other Mother has a pesky habit of taking souls and never letting them go back home. Will Coraline make it back to her own world or will she be stuck in other-land?

The art on this graphic novel matches the creepy tones of the story. The expressions of the characters are captured perfectly. The art definitely tells the story through layout and pencils, just as much as the words.

Highly recommend but keep your lights on when reading!
