Fangirl Down
by Tessa Bailey
Who knew golf could be so HOT? I didn't but know I do. Tessa Bailey never misses and this is no exception. I think this is her best book in quite some time. It felt like OG Tessa Bailey, with the right amount of banter, a unique concept of a plot, and spice to knock your socks off. I wasn't sure how a "bad boy in golf" would go over because... well, have you ever watched golf? It doesn't exactly scream bad boy. But I have to say, Wells Whitaker is my new favorite resident bad boy. He's had a difficult past and isn't the star he once was, with many considering him washed up. Enter Josephine, who is his biggest fan turned brand new caddie. Josephine is a Type 1 diabetic and runs her family's pro golf shop but when it's hit with damage, she needs money to fund not only the reapirs but her insulin supply as well. Enter Wells, who hires her to be his caddie and to see if he still has one last go around at golf in his system. This is a wonderful story of a fan and a pro athlete coming together and not only falling in love, but helping each other find their way. It is in no way cringe or weird or awkward, but a great concept that worked really well. I was sucked in from the very start and I loved the chemistry between Wells and Josephine. I cannot wait for Tallulah's story!
