Who Loves You Best

The idea behind this story is a good one and intriguing which is why I picked it up. However it can be a bit difficult to get through especially with the few chapters told from the male character's POVs and I only say that because they seem unneceesary since they are only 5 chapters total out of the book and the seeds planted there never fully get deveoped (such as Xan's story).
It's painful sometimes to read Clare and how naive she is not so much with her kids as with her overall life (case in point her business...she was well established in that before she got married and logic should have told her to *not* let the husband have any access to it whatsoever). Jenna while good with the kids is not necessarily someone I would want watching my kids because of the situations she places herself in and by default the children. Their back and forth relationship seemed a bit forced especially considering they are at the end of the day employer/employee.
It was okay--I felt the ending was a bit rushed and tried to be tied neatly together but ultimately didn't do a good job of it. I would like to read other stories by the author but it's doubtful I will pick this one up again.
