This was nearly a 3 star for me for many reasons . I rounded up to four due to the uptick in pace as multiple theories became prominent. Personally I found the wordiness of the first part a bit much and I didn’t feel as though all of it added to the plot in the long run . I also did not love the bread crumbs to insinuate a paranormal aspect not my cup of tea personally. The writing itself was fine I might try a different novel by her to see if I can really get into her writing without plot deterrents .
