Exit Strategy

whenever I get my hands on a story featuring this misanthropic sec unit character I race on til I’ve read the whole thing. The droll one liners are real gems, like this one: “Hard work really did make you improve; who knew?“
And, the sec unit observations about work, like this one: “The upside was paranoid attention to detail. The downside was also paranoid attention to detail.)” don’t need a sci-fi setting at all to feel real to contemporary readers. This sec unit truism has probably been true as long as people have been taking advantage of each other in business: “ Disinformation, which is the same as lying but for some reason has a different name, is the top tactic in corporate negotiation/warfare.”
