Huh! I liked this way more than I thought I would. Most people I've talked to didn't like it but wow! Despite it using tropes I'm not a huge fan of (mc constantly blames everything on themselves when they had no control & Stockholm syndrome-like romance) yet I really loved this! I enjoyed the cast. It was a bit big at the start but once their personalities free it was easier to tell everyone apart. One of the evil characters specifically said something that stopped me and made me think because it seems pretty true in today's world: most people will vote for their self interest before they vote for the interests of all.

I'm always interested in taking on the event of colonisation so the plot was a big reason I picked this up. I am very curious to see how that is going to develop over the rest of the series because we're in the manipulation stage right now.
