I had trouble with the pace at first, but it got better as I was getting more and more into the story.
The beginning was a bit confusing and slow, but I was intrigued by the whole story, what it could become and I was entertained enough that I wanted to continue reading it.
I’m really happy I pushed through it.
Overall, it was a good and solid book, that made me laugh and yes, also shed a few tears. There is amazing friendship, banter, found family, betrayal, demons, angels, games of power, unfinished books with their characters left aside.
I love the way the found family was at the forefront of the story, it was nice and really well done. I also really enjoyed the creativity and the idea of this Library of the Unwritten, where characters from unfinished stories are kept and cared for.
The characters grew on me quite a lot and I’m curious to see where this will go. I sure will be picking the sequel up; the ending left some of my questions unanswered and I’m curious to see how some of the characters will evolve from this first book.
