This is my second book by the author and while her previous book was just ok for me, this one worked much better. There were times while I was reading it that I thought for sure the author was gonna take the easy and obvious route as to how to plot was developing and I’m so happy to say I was wrong. I thought the pacing was good, nice and steady and I was never bored, it definitely kept me engaged and wondering what would happen next. Dead spouses in a thriller in obviously nothing new but I thought the author did a pretty good job at putting her own spin on things. I listened to this one and Leslie Howard narrates and she was new for me but she was great. I would describe this as a lighter style suspense/thriller, great for a summer weekend read.
