I love Coates' boldness. He's a true intellectual of the modern age and he'll give it to you straight what he thinks about race relations today. I'm amazed at his ability to draw wisdom from his own difficult life experiences and then create a broader narrative from that. I'm sure this book has sparked some heated discussions, but it's really one to make sure you read.
