The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew--Three Women Search for Understanding
by Suzanne Oliver, Ranya Tabari Idliby, Priscilla Warner
I tried, I tried really hard to like this book. The premise sounds great! But, the authors disappointed me - a lot. I was expecting to crack open this book to read of three people who believed wholeheartedly in three very diverse religions, but were still willing to openly discuss big issues with each other.
What i found instead however, is three women who were affliated with their respected beliefs not by true faith, but by heritage alone. I found myself arguing over and over again with the chapters. In my opinion the authors didn't know the history of their religions and still were tryng to call themselves believers. I certainly don't know everything about these religions, but in some ways i found myself being MORE of an authority than the authors!
In closing this book just served to frustrate me.
