I say I don't read fantasy, but books like this are the reason I make exceptions to that. Great characters that you can get behind, even when they make dubious choices; politics; adventure; perilous journeys; families and chosen families; romance ( a lot of it sapphic) - and dragons! Sweeping dramatic storyline with multiple points of view. Epic in all senses of the word.
