magical, whimsical and utterly heartbreaking!
it seems that all her even number -or prequel- books of this series are for me.

i loved the story of this strange goblin market where everything had its fair value you had to pay - and know before agreeing to the price.

i loved this strong girl that didn’t understand the need for friends but loved reading.
who was to serious as a child for this world.

it was all done so very well!

the writing was fantastic and return to from for me with her sometimes overly descriptive and in the next moment completely unhelpful writing that makes this book something so unique and very specifically mcguire to read.

defiantly a great one!
