Tom Taylor has truly made All-New Wolverine a character piece. This story is all about Laura, and the lovely side cast, that mold her into who she truly is now.

Wolverine is trying to get away from the city with Gabby. Too much bad has happened. We find out about a gas that makes Laura go nuts and feral. She is infected with it when she goes into town and "kills" a bunch of people. She is then on the run. Other characters come in, and we begin to dive deeper into the broken nature of the young wolverine. By the end it comes to a personal, dark choice, that forms her into the one we know as Wolverine today.

Good: The art is a improvement and much smoother this volume. I also really enjoyed the character growth here. Watching Laura come to realize who she is, what she is, it worked really well. I also still love Gabby and she remains the humor without feeling forced.

Bad: The story's pacing gets a bit wonky and not as well as previous volumes. With the Enemy of the State 2 headline you're expecting more crazy action. It's not.

Overall I really still love this series. While the last volume remains my favorite of the run this still holds high up. A very high 3.5 is what this deserves but I'll bump it to 4 since it's been so damn fun. Keep it up Tom!
