The first time I read this book (July 2012), I DNFed it. I was not into fantasystuff back then. My friend Priss convinced me to give it another shot, and I'm very grateful because I highly enjoyed it! 

What a lovely mystical book, quite an unique read. It made my think of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, so if you love that book and you haven't read this one, go and read it! Sometimes it's a bit slow, but it is worth it. it suits the setting very much ;)
