My Own Best Enemy by Julie Christianson
3.75
funny lighthearted medium-paced

This was an absolutely adorable enemies to lovers! Emi and Nash both have reasons to push people away and it's a constant thing standing in the way of these two.

Emi dumped by her fiancee is forced to help (as maid of honor) at wedding venues for her best friend Brooke while Nash is forced to do the same (as best man) to Mac. They have been enemies ever since Nash called Emi "Enemy" in elementary.

I really liked Emi. She's so quirky.... Loves dancing and singing off key before things she has to be brave for, makes some spur of the moment decisions like leaving kickboxing class after some humiliation and buying a pet gecko.

Nash is a little lost and protects his heart by not getting close to anyone,  but the more he's forced to be near Emi, the more he is enthralled by her and starts to need to confront his actual feelings for her.
