The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren
5.0

I have read so many romances in the last five months that I can't always remember which was which right away without a reminder. Because of that, I am hesitant to say that this might be my favorite Christina Lauren book, but there's a good chance it is! I really enjoyed this story about a single mom who begrudgingly participates in a genetic coding matchmaking service with her friend and ends up being a 98% match with one of the founders, the grumpy hot guy she sees every day at the coffee shop. Jess and River's awkward getting to know each other and realizing they do actually enjoy spending time together (etc.) was lovely. I enjoyed Jess's dynamic with her daughter and best friend as well. I enjoy books with dual perspective so I would have loved to have had some chapters from River's point of view but even without that the story was enjoyable and I think it would make a good movie.
