They Drown Our Daughters
by Katrina Monroe
This was so many things. So many brilliant, perfect things. It was atmospheric, haunting, eerie, heartbreaking, heartwarming, suspenseful, and beautiful. It touches on mother daughter relationships and how difficult they can be, it touches on grief and fears, and it touches on a mother's love to drastic measures. I do think there were some unnecessary POVs but I loved how we went from present day to the beginning and to the middle of the curse. The ending...listen I sobbed okay. 4.5 easy.
