Overall, Fadiman did a fantastic job exploring different aspects of Lia Lee's tragic case. I wish she had added more about the theory of cross cultural medicine and ethics standards doctors have to take. I liked the way she critiqued the physicians without directly critiquing them, but perhaps a more direct approach would have been more powerful.
