The Charm Offensive
by Alison Cochrun
the trope is delicious and the way they got closer and fell in love was really sweet, i loved it! but there were some few things that made me... bored i would say. i think it could've been shorter, it felt like it was dragged after 60%ish and the pacing is something i value a lot in books so...
second, it's not that every book should follow the same recipe, but the falling in love - getting together - conflict - get back together is the usual (i like it) and the book did follow this path but it didn't end when they got back together and i think that was it for me. there was A LOT of story after that and another conflict that felt VERY unnecessary... so yeah.
in general, though, the romance WAS cute (and some stuff hit too close to home), the ending was (predictable) but SUPER CUTE so if you're in because of it i would recommend!
