The marketing of this book talks only about the story of a woman and her dog, but this book is so much more. Sure, the bond between them is wonderful and shows just how much a pet can affect your life. But this is more than just a story about a dog and their owner. It’s about writing, literature, friendship, mental health, grief and love, just to name a few topics. 

 

I loved the depth of this book, how it shows grief and all the topics of writing and literature. Sadly this was a library loan, so I didn’t get to highlight anything. I want to own this book someday, to highlight and note stuff.
