It's All Absolutely Fine
by Ruby Elliot
I was excited to get my hands on this collection of art and short essay-style prose by Ruby Elliot, and I was not disappointed. The book deals with Ruby's experiences with mental illness, but unlike other books that can enter into a sort of list of suffering, this takes a lighter view on complex issues like bipolar, anxiety and eating disorders. It is quite an enjoyable experience to laugh about things that can feel so terrible while experiencing them, and I found comfort in it too. It's also a short and easy read so it won't seem daunting if you're struggling to find the motivation for longer books. Definitely get it.
